Visa-free regime of entry to Russia for Cruise Ship passengers

Foreigne tourists are able to stay on the territory of the Russian Federation visa-free up to 72 hours when entering Russia by ferry (large cruise ships) through the following ports: Sochi, Novorossiysk, Vladivostok, Korsakov, Kaliningrad, Vyborg, St.Petersburg. This is valid for people travelling within an organized group. Overnight stay on board only.

Russian Tourist Visa is required in case you enter Russian Federation for tourism purposes. A Russian Tourist Visa can be issued for either single or double entry, but only for a validity of no more than 30 days. Additionally, the Russian Tourist Visa does not allow the visa holder to engage in any kind of employment and cannot be extended while the holder is in Russia.

Applications for Russian Tourist Visas require an invitation to be granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or approved travel agency Fremad Russia. You will also be required to provide a current passport from your country of residence with a validity of at least six months after the expiry of the Russian visa.

It is always better to check consulate beforehand what documents are required, if they accept copies of invitations or only originals; if vouchers are needed or not; how long it takes them to obtain Russian visa and how much it costs.

We issue Visa support FREE OF CHARGE if a client/agent books accommodation and pays for it through Fremad Russia for the whole period of stay in Russia.

In accordance with Russian Law, foreign citizens have to make a registration within 72 hours upon arrival. Usually the hotel's administration takes all the necessary steps regarding the registration. Hotel have the right to charge a fee for this services. This fee ranges from 200 to 400 rubles and has to be paid at the place of the hotel.
