Tour Highlights

Mount Akhun

Mount Akhun is pretty hard to miss as it is the highest peak in the area! Travel 10 km southwest of Sochi and visit the Observation Tower built in 1936 by Stalin's order on the top of Mount Akhun. Admire a wonderful, 360 degree view of the the Black Sea coast all the way from the Olympic Park in Adler to downtown Sochi on one side and the snow-capped Caucasian Mountains and little villages in the valleys on the other side. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and take breathtaking photos.

Stalin's Summer Residence

The former Summer Residence of the Soviet dictator, Joseph Stalin, is one of the few relics left in Sochi from the communist era. Located 30 minutes from the city center, Stalin's summer house is nestled high in the lush hills looking over Sochi, camouflaged from aerial attacks and shows the dictator's phobia of being assassinated. Nearly everything in the house is original, and you can easily imagine the days when this place was occupied by Stalin. There are pieces of original furniture, including a bulletproof sofa, a custom made pool table, a movie room, a shallow indoor pool, and a wax figure of the dictator to add to the atmosphere.

Krasnaya Polyana

A scenic road passing through a deep, narrow canyon leads up from Adler to Krasnaya Polyana (Red Valley), Russia's recently built ski mecca that hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics ski events. No doubts, the Roza Khutor Alpine Resort is a jewel in the Olympic crown. Enjoy the magnificent panorama of the village and surrounding mountains featuring ancient dolmens, waterfalls, and mineral water springs.
