Despite a lack of snow and despite the coronavirus restrictions, outdoor ice rinks were opened to public over the week in Moscow and St.Petersburg.
People in both cities are be able to enjoy some of their favorite winter outdoor activities like ice skating.
While the number of people allowed on the ice is limited, this means skaters have some extra space to show off their skills.
Besides, locations of ice rinks are quite exciting - on Red Square in front of Kremlin walls and GUM department store on the territory of VDNKH in Moscow and in creative space "Sevkabel port" with terrific view to the Gulf of Finland in St.Petersburg.
These festive, brightly decorated ice rinks are one of the most popular antidotes for the dark winter.
Come next winter and show us your skating skills on ice rings in Russia!!
