Originated as a secret Air Force facility, Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center has become Russia's only "school of cosmonauts" and one of the most enduring symbols of the nation's quest beyond Earth. Center named after Yuri Gagarin who did the first manned flight to the space .Cleverly hidden in the evergreen woods northeast of Moscow, the center was identified in the Soviet press as Zvezdny Gorodok, translated as Star City or Starry Town. Of course, it would be foolish to try to find "Star City" on Soviet maps...

During your visit to the special technical zone of the center you will have the opportunity to see unique simulators, the centrifuge, the hydro-lab with models of space vehicles.

- inspection of the training complex with a full size model of a space station “MIR” and a space transport ship “SOUZ-TN”;
- visit hydro-lab where cosmonauts practice their skills necessary for their travelling into outer space;
- inspection of the biggest in the world centrefuge, that helps cosmonauts to get skilled to get skilled in hard conducting astronavigation operations as if you are on a board of a space vehicle under surcharge condition
