Kremlin: Tourists will see Blagoveshensky, Arkhangelsky and Assumption Cathedrals, church of the 12 Apostle – the wonderful Monuments of Russian church architecture with unique richly decorated interior. Armory – houses a unique collection of ancient arms, tsar’s garments, precious chinaware, jewelry, carriages and other objects of decorative applied art of the Russian and foreign artists of the past centuries.

Cathedral of the Resurrection and St. John’s Church
Uglich: founded in 1148, Uglich is one of the most beloved towns in old Russia. The view of the town as it is approached from Volga river is especially lovely with the cathedral of Resurrection and St. John’s church looming on the horizon. At the end of the 16th century, Maria Nagaya, seventh wife of Ivan the Terrible lived in honorary exile in the Kremlin at Uglich. It was here in her garden that the tsarevich Dmitry met his death and where the Church of Demetrius of the Blood was built and still stands today. Within the Kremlin is the oldest building in Uglich, the Palace of Tsarevich Dmitry.

Visit to Ipatyevsky Monastery
Kostroma, like Moscow, was founded by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152. A peculiar feature of the old part of Kostroma is the abundance of wooden houses. Their facade decorations and forged balcony railings add very special features to their appearance. However, Kostroma`s principal attraction is the Ipatiev Monastery. The Ipatievsky Monastery was founded almost seven centuries ago.
It is from this monastery that Michael Romanov, the first of the Romanov dynasty, was called to become tsar of Russia.

Spassky Monastery
Yaroslavl: stretching for 18 miles on both bank of the Volga, Yaroslavl is an important Volga port with a population 0f 600,000. It was founded in the 11-th century by Prince Yaroslav the Wise and today retains many noteworthy monuments of its colorful past. Of special interest is the magnificent 13th century Spassky Monastery ensemble, a group of majestic 17th century cathedrals, an elegant rotunda remnant of an ancient trading centre. Loveliest of all is the church of Elijah the prophet, situated in the town’s central square. The frescoes on the walls and vaulting inside the church constitute a veritable museum of old Russian paintings.

Visit to Kirillo-Belosersky Monastery
Goritsy – is a tiny settlement seven kilometres from Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. Visit what remains of the nunnery of the ressurection on the banks of the Sheksna River in Goritsy, within quarter of a mile of where the ship stop, will be interesting for any tourist with real interest of Russian history.

Outdoor museum of wooden architecture
Kizhi island: via the Volga-Baltic canal cruise will take you to the tiny island of Kizhi, located at the northern end of Lake Onega. Renowned for its open-air Museum of architectural assembled from various areas of the country and restored to form a glimpse of the past, Kizhi is a feast for the eyes. The Transfiguration church, with 22 domes is the ultimate in Russian fairy-tale church architecture.

Lake Ladoga: sandy and rocky beaches intend the lower end of Europe’s largest lake, Lake Ladoga. Its shores are overgrown with graceful willows, tall alder trees and stately pines.

Walking tour to New Jerusalem Monastery
Is located in the northern part of Ladoga lake in 22 km from the main land. The island has nature of unique beauty. Vast part of island cover pine-tree woods. Visitors will get acquainted with one of the oldest orthodox cloisters located on the island, which used to be one of the main spiritual centers of old Russia for many centuries. Valaam differs from most monasteries in that it is located on an island. Surrounded by water, far away from the rest of the world, it seems to be designed for quite life - the life of hermits and ascetics. Except Valaamsky monastery, which is still a functioning one, there were built small and secluded monasteries, founded some churches and chapels, built the roads

Half day city sightseeing tour. The group will have stops near St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Bronse Horseman, Spit of Vasilievsky island, Smolny Cathedral, cruiser “Aurora”, Savoir on the blood and pass by: Nevsky prospect, Rossi street, square of Arts, Dvortsovaya embankment, Marsovo pole, University, Academy of Fine Arts, Menshikov place, Sinod and Senat buildings, Tavritchesky palace.

Excursion to Peter&Paul Fortress
Peter and Paul Fortress – was founded by peter the Great in 1703. Besides the ancient fortifications, on the grounds of the fortress one can.
Visit the St. Peter and Paul cathedral of the early XVIII century (architect D. Trezzini) with the burial vault of the Peter the Great and other Russian tzars and Trubetskoy Bastion casemates.

Excursion to Hermitage

Excursion to Hermitage museum one of the oldest and largest museums of the world. The museum is located in 5 historical buildings of St. Petersburg, including the Winter Palace - the former residence of Russian tsars. The buildings of the museum, by themselves are architectural chef d’oeuvres. The collection of Hermitage number over 3 million items from prehistoric to modern items.
